Losing Weight

Why is losing weight so hard? I have been trying to lose these same 25-30 pounds since before my daughter was born. So for the last four years, I have been saying I'm going to lose 25-30 pounds. It's about time I stop saying that LOL

This summer I challenged myself to work out regularly and watch my calories. Just work out 5 times a day and don't overeat, that doesn't sound too hard... Then why is it so hard? It sure isn't that hard to drive to McDonald's and order a quarter pounder with cheese value meal, so why is it so hard to order a salad from the same place?

So, the summer is almost over and I have only managed to lose and regain the same four pounds. I have managed, however to tone up a bit and increase my stamina. These are two things I am proud of, though I could have done better.

I joined a challenge on my favorite dieting website, www.sparkpeople.com, to lose 10 lbs during the month of August. This is definitely an attainable goal, as long as I keep myself in check, which is the hard part. This is day 10 of the challenge and so far so good. I will be keeping all of you updated on my progress, 10 pounds is a whole clothing size!!!!
